Volunteer to Assist Detainees

Join Attorneys Brad Giglio and Matthew Sperry in Assisting Detainees at O'Hare Airport

There will be coordinated humanitarian effort on January 30, 2017 to help those immigrants detained at O’Hare Airport as a result of the recently imposed ban on immigrants based upon nationality. Attorney Matthew Sperry who is the Vice Chair of the DuPage County Bar Association (DCBA) Immigration Law Committee will be spearheading the effort to connect volunteers with organizations on the ground at O’Hare. This is not a political event; it is a humanitarian effort. That is the focus. Organizations on the ground at O’Hare airport already have an apparatus in place and will be leading the effort.

DuPage County Immigration Lawyers

Offering Assistance with Green Cards, Citizenship, Visas, and Deportation in Illinois

At Mevorah Law Offices LLC, we have a full-service Illinois immigration practice offering skilled guidance with all matters related to immigration and naturalization. We understand the complex and confusing nature of immigration law, and our mission is to provide immigrants a strong voice and the experienced representation they deserve when dealing with large and intimidating government agencies.

Our award-winning attorneys frequently represent clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and we have in-depth knowledge of the inner-workings of these agencies. We are also skilled across a wide range of other practice areas, including criminal, family law, and personal injury. Our comprehensive legal experience gives us a strong understanding of the big picture, how immigration law intertwines with other areas of the law, and the practical effects multiple legal issues may have on our clients.

All-Encompassing Immigration Law Firm, Call 630-932-9100630-932-9100

We represent clients for a full range of immigration issues, including:

Adjustments of Status: Many non-U.S. Citizens who enter the country legally on a non-immigrant visa qualify for an adjustment to permanent resident status and a green card. Common examples include family-based status (often resulting from marriage to a U.S. Citizen) and employment-based status after receiving a qualified permanent job offer.

Naturalization/Citizenship: Immigrants who have had legal permanent resident (LPR) status for a certain length of time may qualify to become naturalized U.S. Citizens. There are many advantages to obtaining citizenship, such the right to vote and the ability to leave the country for extended periods of time without jeopardizing your status.

Visas: We provide skilled assistance with all types of temporary (non-immigrant) and permanent (immigrant) visas. Some of the most common include tourist/visitor visas, student visas, family-based visas, fiancé visas and employment-based visas.

Removal and Deportation: Being subject to removal hearings can be among the most frightening experiences for an immigrant. Our skilled legal team is there to assist with all issues related to removal proceedings; including ICE Detention/Detainers, ICE Holds, Immigration Bonds, Master Calendar Hearings and Individual Hearings.

Options for Ineligible or Inadmissible Immigrants (WAIVERS): Non-U.S. Citizens who may have entered the country illegally, overstayed a visa or have otherwise jeopardized their legal status may qualify for immigration relief if they fit into certain specialized categories. Options for ineligible/inadmissible immigrants include asylum, U Visas or VAWA relief and relief under DACA, NACARA or the LIFE Act.

Criminal Issues and Immigration: Our criminal defense team includes former prosecutors and former public defenders. Our attorneys are mindful of how criminal issues impact your immigration status, and we put this experience to work to provide clients a comprehensive range of relief options both through ICE and the criminal court system.

Fearing there was a problem with my certificate of citizenship, I turned to Mevorah Law Offices for help. My Attorney helped me focus on the real goal, which was to obtain my social security benefits. He and his assistant helped me collect all the necessary papers and was able to get my benefits approved after I'd had two rejections. I highly recommend both my attorney and the law firm, and will use them again if needed.
